Winners in the Crozet Gym Contest

I attend the new 24-hour gym in Crozet, Anytime Fitness. It works for me. I like the equipment; I’ve never run on a treadmill before, but it has gotten me started earlier than usual in my training for the Women’s 4-Miler. The woman who runs the place, Melody, is excellent with customer service. She knows me by name and face already and has more than once stopped by to check on something with me (I lost my watch and left a note, and she asked whether I had found it) without any prompting from me. I appreciate that kind of small-town friendliness. I have been there only once all by myself, later at night, and I felt safe with the various buttons and other safety devices they have. Usually there are other people there, but I have never had to wait for a treadmill or equipment I wanted. I hope it will stay that way! Now that weather is shifting, I have less need to run indoors, but I am very glad the gym is there for me.
