Located on The Common in Old Trail Village, the party will feature food from local restaurant Three Notch’d Grill , music, balloons, moon bounces and slides, and Maggie Moo’s ice cream! Many homes in Old Trail Village will also be open for touring, each with fresh-baked cookies made by the From Scratch Baking Co . , also of Albemarle.

250 West in Crozet May 29th 4:30 - 7 Peace by Piece at Henley Middle School on Rt. … This year we will contribute to building a well in Haiti, and to the Central American Solar Energy Project, which teaches women to build their own solar ovens.

Thanks to Mark’s comment : The Cozet Volunteer Fire Department Summerfest picnic will be held on July 5th. … Like last year, there will be a big parade, fireworks, music (8 different bands,) games/amusements, arts and crafts, a car show, motorcycle poker run, and of course - a lot of food.

Both as a CCC and as a POW camp, the work of the camp was focused on building/maintaining the fire trails in that area. … Historic District for Crozet - The county historic resources and Piedmont Environmental Group reported that Crozet has passed the steps to make it potentially eligible for being declared an historic district.

From the DP’s commuter page - I-64 westbound at mile marker 108: Left lane closed. About 11 miles west of Charlottesville, the lane will be closed 24 hours, seven days a week until June 2008.

In addition to overhauling the block where the pizza shop sits, the redevelopment project, called Crozet Station, would add a façade to the adjacent strip shopping center anchored by the Crozet Great Valu grocery store. … Architect Bill Atwood hopes to start construction on the redevelopment this summer and said work could last for three years, done in three phases.

This is part of an email I received last week from someone who is moving to Crozet: (comments/advice are welcome from readers) Where do empty nesters go to meet people (late forties, early fifties?) … Parade, Fireworks (probably need money again this year) , Crozet Arts and Crafts Festival - May 11/12 and October 11/12 this year .
