Since this is your deal I feel that you can post/discuss whatever.
If you want to stir things up you have a possible zoning violation with
the parking lot seating thing on the square. News is where you find it...

Ron -

Thanks for the questions.

1 - These posts are automatically generated posts from the RealCrozetVA Twitter account. They're old because they are posted throughout the week.

2 - The DP alerts - I generally ignore their political leanings as irrelevant to my opinions. They are good for local news, and I know the guy behind the @DailyProgress twitter account and he posts more relevant updates than the newspaper. That said, this one was a mistaken post that was intended for my @JimDuncan twitter account.

3 - These posts generally aren't full "stories" for RealCrozetVA and often times are useful for readers - I tend to get comments and emails on these posts. For example - the checkpoint in front of Starr Hill. I saw it one day when I was showing property - and made the update from my phone (while stopped, thankyouverymuch) - and it was timely for my Twitter followers because of its timeliness. They could avoid this area due to this waste of taxpayer resources. ... and valuable to readers of the Sunday posts because now they are aware of it as well.

Admittedly, they are not as meaty as some of the full posts, but in aggregate, I think that they can be valuable. Some may be irrelevant, but I think it's also important to note that I've noted Trailside Coffee's anniversary there, Mudhouse's anniversary, the Crozet Tweetup, the news that Nelson's going to have a cidery ....

Now what is the point of these "twitter" updates? Most are old and irrelevant once posted and emailed around. Also, who cares about the Daily Progress alerts? This local paper is pretty much the worst in quality (extremely poor) and political bias (way too biased to be considered "informative" or earning the label "newspapers" instead of propaganda pamflet) I have ever seen. Canceled the subscription several years ago.
So Jim, why are you doing this?
