    1. formatting didn’t translate…bottom line Family of 4 swims at Crozet Park Pool for less than individual pass at Old Trail.

      1. Crozet Pool tries to be an asset to the Community.  Old Trail is
just the typical business model, out to make money…

        1. Wait till the YMCA takes over CP and puts the bubble over the pool. The CP prices will then go UP.
Waynesboro Park pool is half the price of CP.

          1. OT is a private business.  If they charge too much then they won’t have members.  It’s up to them how they run their business and it’s up to the consumer to make their own choice.  free will and capitalism baby

          2. I think CP has a more  diverse plans for smaller families than OT.  However, You can’t beat the mountain vista of OT pool.

I think “sink or swim” more appropriate for this type of business.  Any wagers out there?

          3. Yep, it just costs more to live in an unincorporated community…

    2. The 50 meter War Memorial Pool II and bathhouse offers the perfect opportunity for all members of your family to cool off from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

      General Admission: 10 am – 7:30pm Monday – Saturday 1 pm – 7:30 pm Sunday

Free Swim: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm, Everyday non-residents pay general admission price. Waynesboro residents swim for free.

      Fees:Adult (16 and over) – $4.00Youth (3-15) – $2.00Baby (2 and under) – FREEFamily Pass – $130.00Individual Pass – $60.00

  2. OT rate are ridiculous! $720 for a family pass for basically 3-3.5 months of swimming! I don’t care if it has a view of heaven… way to to be elitist!

    1. For someone living in OT it’s not to bad a deal.  When you factor in the gas and time it takes to get to Crozet Park and the fact that you could just walk home to eat lunch and dinner the price isn’t so bad.

But my guess is that they’re not having trouble filling membership or they’d lower their price.  Why not charge what the economy will allow?

      1. gas would need to get significantly higher to factor in the cost difference between the two neighboring pools.  I can’t argue with the conveniences of walking to a facility over driving.  We ourselves, used OT pool.  This year, i couldn’t understand (nor justify) the increase and the continued lack of smaller family rates of OT pool.

As far as why not charge what will allow.  Go for it.  Yes, the difference between community pool and private business. Quality difference, can’t comment.

Another option.. Virginia’s streams (especially this year). Great hikes and doesnt hurt to get those kids in the outdoors.

Something to say?
