Second Saturdays Art Opening @ Art on the Trax with Rhonda Roebuck

Art on the Trax will present ”Reoccurring Images” by Rhonda Roebuck during the month of October, with a Second Saturday Artist Reception on Saturday, October 8^th

Rhonda Roebuck retired from teaching art and photography in Albemarle County Schools and lives in Greenwood.  She grew up in Alabama and received Master of Fine Arts from the University of Alabama.  “My work consists of collages with some painting and drawing added.  This work is about collecting items that interest me over a long time period.  The pieces don’t have any hidden meanings other than what you might read into them.  I have simply decided what makes a good combination, a good design, and what looks right to me.  The search for objects to use is as important as creating the piece.  Sometimes images and objects can sit around for years before they make it into an artwork.”

Please join us for our Second Saturday Opening Reception on October 8th. This reception is part of Crozet’s Second Saturday events and runs from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. We’ll be serving up The Art Box’s famous ice cream sundaes topped with fruit from local orchards.

All events are free and open to the public. Art on the Trax is located at Creative Framing and The Art Box, across from the Olde Crozet Train Station, 5784 Three Notch’d Road in Crozet, Virginia.
