The Gladstones

The Gladstones are a four-piece rock and roll outfit fronted by Charlottesville veterans Charlie Pastorfield (Skip Castro Band, Alligator) and Bob Girard (The Casuals featuring Johnny Sportcoat, Alligator) and supported by in the rhythm section by bass player Tim Ryan (Left Lane, Jeebus) and drummer Jim Ralston (Baaba Seth, Jeebus). The Gladstones play straight, old school rock ‘n’ roll of every variety, ranging from Johnny Cash to The Clash, from Rolling Stones to Grateful Dead. They mix in a bunch of original songs, penned by Girard and Pastorfield, that fit right in to the general mayhem. They have been playing in the mid Atlantic under this name since 2006, although their collective roots go back decades.
