  • I fear and sense that the CCAC is attempting to micromanage the redevelopment of the former Barnes Lumberyard. They’ve expressed their opinions – many, many times. Let’s give the developers time to present something.
  • I’m curious to hear the mission statement clarification discussion.

  1. Micromanage? Sorry, I disagree. Frank Stoner had said he knew what we did NOT want, but would like to know what we DO want. He asked us for specifics this past summer and we held two long meetings with public input to hammer them out. When we got too deep in the weeds, there was always someone who brought us back out. I think we all want to see his proposal be successful and bring some focus to downtown Crozet. The growth and progress on that site needs to be organic and will happen over more than a decade.
