Bobby Midnight Band formed in 2014 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Blossoming from their decade-long partnership in regional favorite Trees on Fire, BMB’s original three members (Rob Mezzanotte, Brian Wahl, and Paul Rosner) created their new project as a way to submerse themselves in shared roots, soul and rhythm & blues. The band added versatile keyboardist Nick Cardoni in late 2015. BMB currently plays around central Virginia, and released their debut album, All I Ever, on December 1st, 2016.

Singer Rob Mezzanotte and bassist Brian Wahl are graduates of Boston University’s College of Fine Arts. While attending BU, Rob won “Best Male Vocalist” at the 2005 National Collegiate A Cappella Championship in New York City. Drummer Paul Rosner has been performing for over 30 years and has played with dozens of groups in the Charlottesville area. Keyboardist Nick Cardoni is a graduate of Brown University and grew up playing jazz and swing. Nick trained with Bill Cecchi (Walpole, MA) and Ben Cook (Hyde Park, MA) and has played with a variety of groups including Righteous Friendz, Beats Collective, and Blackwater Stills.

As members of Trees on Fire, Rob, Brian, and Paul played up and down the East Coast and regularly brought 500 fans to their Charlottesville shows. Trees’ music has received airplay on college radio stations around the country and has been prominently played on Charlottesville’s 97.5 WWWV, 91.9 WNRN, 91.1 WTJU, and 106.1 The Corner.
