Jayesh Samtani, “Home Garden Berries: Selection, Cultivation and Growing Alongside Ornamental Plants.” — 24 March 2022

Based at the Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center, Samtani is on the faculty of Virginia Tech’s School of Plant and Environmental Sciences and supports small fruit production in commercial, home and community gardens, particularly in areas identified as food deserts. He will provide an overview of berries we can grow at home, such as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and figs, and ways to integrate them with ornamental plants.
