New Artist Reception

We would like to introduce you to four of our most recent artists. Please join us as we feature these artists at our Second Saturday reception on September 9 from 3-5 pm! Light snacks & refreshments will be served.

September Featured Artist Bios:

Carol Goshorn – children’s dresses
Carol has enjoyed sewing for over 40 years. She specializes in sewing children’s dresses that feature hand smocking and embroidery. She lives in the Crozet, VA area.

Debbie & Jimmy Ballowe – wooden ornaments & boxes
Debbie & Jimmy of Roseland, VA create woodcrafts made from local hardwoods. Their wooden ornaments feature intricate designs hand cut with a scroll saw and depict a wide variety of images such as animals, birds, suns, as well as holiday themes. They also create small lidded boxes which are cut on a band saw and formed from a single block of wood.

Jane Fellows – art quilts
Jane is a fiber artist living in Batesville, VA. Jane’s art quilts explore innovative ways to use thread, textiles, and other fibers. Her wall art pieces express her love of texture and color and often represent gardens, landscapes, and skyscapes.

John Voss – fine art & landscape photography
John, a Virginia native and Ivy resident, was raised in a family of artists and has been making photographs since building his first darkroom as a teenager. John’s photographic interests have taken him from Alaska to Patagonia pursuing the colors, patterns and textures of the natural and built landscape. He uses cameras ranging from iPhones to view cameras to capture his vision of the world in color and black and white images.
