Nic & Jo have been playing together for over a year and have created a unique sound with strong harmonies, guitar strums, and washboard beats…while not being too sore on the eyes.

Nicole Giordano-Averill is a local musician from North Garden that’s been playing folk tunes and originals since she was 12. Self taught with some direction from her dad, Micheal Giordano from local new grass band, The Weedeaters, Nicole sings and plays the guitar with a folky original twist. Her originals are inspired from her 2 young girls, broken hearts, new loves, and tried and true life experiences.

Betty Jo Taylor is a from a small town in southeast Virginia and moved to the Charlottesville area in the late 70’s. She began singing alto in her hometown church choir at an early age and continued to sing in various venues throughout the years including a local top forty band in the 80’s called “Hotwire” with Tim Reynolds, to the Sweet Adelines and Richmond Symphony choruses and numerous local folk bands.
