Crozet Artisan Depot is presenting the beautiful wood furniture and decorative items of StrongWood Designs during October. Jacob Strong will be at the opening reception on Saturday, October 8th from 4 to 7 p.m. in the historic Crozet train depot.
StrongWood Design is a small furniture and home accessory company based out of Lynchburg, Virginia. While pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in project management, proprietor and entrepreneur Jacob Strong discovered that not only could he put himself through college with his furniture business, but he could help others do so as well. StrongWood Design creates an innovative working environment for Jacob and his peers, helping to fund their college careers as well as serving as a foundation for training the next generation of skilled wood workers.
Today, StrongWood Design creates handcrafted wood products that are 100% designed and built with quality and style in mind. Using lumber reclaimed from local Virginia barns and manufacturing buildings allows StrongWood Designs to “capture and reclaim the beauty of old structures for your home”. StrongWood Design started out building well-crafted college apartment furniture, but has now expanded to create quality furniture for all.
