Second Saturdays Art Opening @ Art on the Trax with Dede Buhler

Art on the Trax will feature “Flow” by Dede Buhler during the month of February, with a Second Saturday Artist Reception on February 14^th.

Raised by an artist mother, Dede Buhler grew up emmersed in art.  After finishing school with a graduate degree in art from Virginia Tech, Buhler explored many careers from real estate renovation to personal training to landscape design.  It was on one particular day in 2008 that she was suddenly overcome with the urge to paint.  This urge inspired Buhler to try a new and looser approach to painting—acrylics being poured, blown around, flooded with water…Buhler follows the paint in the direction the painting wants to go.  The process yields incredible landscapes that will be on display at Art on the Trax for the month of February 2015.

Join us for our Second Saturday Opening Reception on February 14^th.  This reception is part of Crozet’s Second Saturday events and runs from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.  While you get the chance to meet the artist and lose yourself in her paintings, we’ll be serving up The Art Box’s famous ice cream sundaes topped with fruit from local orchards.

All events are free and open to the public. Art on the Trax is located in Creative Framing and The Art Box, across from the Olde Crozet Train Station, 5784 Three Notch’d Road in Crozet, Virginia.
