Snails, Trails, & Tails

Local artist Kathryn Matthews will present “SNAILS, TRAILS, and TAILS”, a free art workshop inspired by the wildlife and natural world of Mint Valley Springs Park. The workshop is appropriate for children 5+ and will take place on Saturday, June 10,1:30-3pm, in the historic Crozet Train Depot, 5791 Three Notch’d Road. The event is co-hosted by Crozet Artisan Depot and Albemarle Tourism & Adventure Center.

There will be three learning stations:
1) Creativity – SNAILS: Create art with mixed medium inspired by the snails of Mint Springs Lake
2) Nature Observation – TRAILS: Create map of park and create animal habitat (discuss animal habitats whether water, air or forest habitat)
3) Visual Observation – TAILS: Create artwork inspired by animals found at the park using photos of birds, fish and mammals seen at the park
