July 5 – Mad Science: Build a Better World

Learn about amazing structures, try to crush an egg, and build a giant arch on stage.

July 12 – Tell Us a Tale and Tune

Storyteller Peter Jones and musical duo Tom & Emily will blend favorite folktales with traditional US tunes.

July 19 – Pirates of the Chesapeake

Join Impressions Theatre as they explore the Chesapeake Bay to track down Redbeard’s treasure.

July 26 – Dragons and Dreams (Sciencetellers)

In a faraway land, two villagers take a daring journey to save the kingdom from an Evil Ice Sorceress.

August 2 – Sharks!

Learn about sharks, from giant, filter feeding whale sharks to tiny, predatory cookie cutter sharks.

SPCA Paws to Read

Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to Lucy, a therapy dog. Lucy is a registered therapy animal with The Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Along with owner/handler Ellen, the team volunteers as part of the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA therapy dog program. Sign up for a 15-minute appointment and bring a favorite book to read. For any young reader.

Wee Ones

A special time for babies and caregivers to read, sing, move, and play! No siblings, please; this is a special one-on-one time. Each baby will need the full attention of his or her caregiver. For 12 to 23 month-olds.

Registration begins May 25 at 9am. Birthdate must fall between 6/16/15 and 6/15/16.

Alphabet Soup

Designed to help grow our next generation of readers, Alphabet Soup is a fun half-hour of stories, songs, dancing and more. This group is for older 3, 4 and 5-year-olds who are ready to enjoy story time on their own, without an accompanying adult or younger siblings.

R.A.D. (Read And Discuss) Teen Book Club

The Crozet Library leads a diverse range of book clubs for teens. Snacks are served at each meeting. Free copy of the book included on a first come, first served basis. Please check each listing for age requirements. Registration required.
