Whimsical illustrations by Nancy Atkins based on children’s books by local author Helen Williamson

Art on the Trax will feature illustrations and assemblage by Nancy Atkins during the month of August.

Local children’s author, Helen Williamson, will be reading short stories from her newest release, Adventures in Dinglewood August 11. These charming stories are packed full of adventure, friendship, camaraderie, cooperation and collaboration. The Art Box will be showcasing  illustrations from four of Helen’s children’s books as well as inspired mixed media art work from Nancy Atkins. There will be creative coloring opportunities for children at the gallery.

Please join us for a Second Saturday Opening Reception on August 11^th. This reception is part of Crozet’s Second Saturday events and runs from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. We’ll be serving up The Art Box’s famous ice cream sundaes topped with fruit from local orchards.

All events are free and open to the public. Art on the Trax is located at Creative Framing and The Art Box, across from the Olde Crozet Train Station, at 5784 Three Notch’d Road in Crozet, Virginia.
