The Enneagram, a well established system of describing basic personality types, allows us to understand ourselves and others to better to improve communication and relationships in our lives. This presentation by Robert Hodge, MD, a certified Enneagram Teacher in the Oral Tradition, will be an overview of the history and structure of the system with some explanation and video examples of some of the types.
Cruise on over to the library to gather your first round of summer reading, then step outside to enjoy some sweet summer treats and sun-filled fun. Pick up your first JMRL Summer Reading Challenge sheet, and let the summer begin.

Representatives from Fishburne Military School will be on hand at the Crozet Public Library on Saturday May 4th to discuss the ins and outs of making a private school education affordable for your family. Celebrating 100 years as a US Army JROTC unit, Fishburne Military School is the oldest and smallest of all military schools for boys in Virginia. Its college-prep curriculum is built on the structure of an Army JROTC program. FMS has been designated as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and may nominate qualified candidates to the United States Service Academies. Fishburne hosts one of only four Summer JROTC programs in the nation that is accredited by US Army Cadet Command.

Make a take-home stress kit and take some time to de-stress at the library with soothing crafts, coloring pages, music, and animal videos. Options for your de-stress kit include DIY stress squishers, drawing supplies, snacks, homemade bath bombs, mint candies, tea, mental health info and strategies, notes to yourself, and more. All supplies provided. Grades 6-12. Requested registration begins April 2.

Experience UVa’s traveling planetarium, participate in space-themed activities, crafts, and games, and learn about careers in aerospace and the current state of the United States’ space industry. Kids, teens, and adults all welcome. Requested registration begins April 12.

Lauralee Bliss will take you along the Appalachian Trail starting in Damascus and heading north to include the famous Grayson Highlands and the wild ponies, McAfee Knob – the most photographic point on the trail, through the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah National Park. Learn about this 600-mile trail segment and how to safely enjoy it in all seasons.
