Interested in School Redistricting in Western Albemarle?

This from the Henley Matters newsletter is timely, as I’ve recently gotten a couple questions about Western Albemarle school district redistricting (and redistricting is always a point of conversation with clients who are considering buying homes in Crozet).

If you can, please serve. Deadline is Friday, 22 January!

This is a reminder that two important advisory committees to the School Board and Superintendent are seeking to fill vacant seats this month.

The school division’s Long-Range Planning Advisory Committee will be making appointments for the Rivanna, Samuel Miller, Scottsville and White Hall Magisterial Districts and one at-large representative.  This committee makes recommendations on a broad-range of planning  and school capacity issues in order to provide students with the best possible learning environments.

Separately, the Health Advisory Board will be make six appointments for the Jack Jouett, Rivanna, Samuel Miller, Scottsville and White Hall Magisterial Districts and one at-large representative.  This committee assists the School Board and Superintendent in the development of health policies and in the assessment of health-related programs and activities.

If you are interested in serving on either of these two committees, you are urged to click on the appropriate link and submit your application by Friday, January 22.  Information also is available by calling me at 434-972-4055.
